This is the perfect day for this post since I just got home
from a callback for a commercial audition. Sometimes it’s easier than others to
shake off an audition and keep it movin’. In today’s case, I would LOVE to book
this job. However, taking my own advice, I had a couple of errands to run that
kept me busy. Of course my mind drifts back to “I wonder if I got the part”
every now and then but it’s a far cry from the beginning of my career when I would
rush home and literally sit by the phone and wait for it to ring with the good
news. Why? Cause back in the day that was our only choice. We didn’t have our
phone attached to our hips in the mid 80’s. I also didn’t have much else going on back then. I was
younger, new in town and not a lot of responsibility or life experience. Now, I
have several auditions to prepare for, many projects to juggle and….wait, is
that the phone? Gotta go…wish me luck!
How can you apply this philosophy to your business?
Wow, Carlease! I am sure that phone call was to let you know you're IN! All the best!
